Beauty
The beauty of God's creation can be seen each day as we look around us. I am absolutely a fan of autumn. I just enjoy gazing at the beautiful leaves as they change in the trees. I enjoy jumping in a big leaf pile with my kids. I enjoy the brisk days where a walk through the neighborhood is a delight. Fall is almost over, the trees are beginning to look bare. We are moving into winter. Another season (not my favorite) but where I will still be able to see the beauty of God's creation. We have not seen winter in several years. The kids are anxious for sledding, building snowmen, sucking on icicles . . . the things I have told them about. Having kids makes the thought of winter a bit more exciting.
Beauty - God has made a beautiful world.

Too much time has gone by and I have not updated this blog! Sometimes I just get busy and time gets away from me. Davis celebrated his 6th birthday early October and it was so fun celebrating his birth! He was happy all day long, enjoying all the fun things we did. Its the simple things, like eating his cake, opening presents, going for a walk. Wonderful day, wonderful boy. I am so thankful for Davis.

And the kids, well, they have a much better life having him as their father. our family consists of five people completely blessed by God giving us this man!

A Wonderful Evening of Fellowship!
What a delightful evening we just had! We have been Stateside on furlough now for over a month, and tonight we had been invited to go to the home of a dear family here in Clarks Summit. The wife in this home is from Ecuador but married an American and they have been living here for years. They have four children, all born here, the oldest being 15. We had the opportunity to meet this ladies parents while living in Ecuador - they live in the capital city, Quito -and they had us in their home to visit and enjoy a meal when we were in Quito one time. Well, they are here in the States now visiting their daughter and we had the wonderful opportunity to go and spend the evening with them, talking and laughing, enjoying a delicious Ecuadorian meal - seco de chiva, which is a dish typically made with goat, but they substituted lamb - delicious. Talk about a wonderful evening - and believe it or not, it was so nice to greet someone with a kiss and hug and talk the evening away in Spanish!

Hudson playing soccer
Both boys, Hudson and Davis, are really enjoying soccer this year. It has been a neat experience for them to play in a league, and all the days of playing in the streets of Ecuador have paid off! Here is a clip of Hudson playing at soccer camp several weeks ago.

Kids at camp

A great group of youth just went to camp in Ecuador. Even though we were not there to see them off or enjoy in the fun, we have loved hearing reports from some of them about the wonderful time they had. We heard of some very neat decisions for Christ and spiritual growth. What a joy in our hearts to see these young people making decisions and commitments to God. We miss these dear ones in Ecuador but know we will be with them after our furlough is complete. In the meantime, we delight in keeping in touch with many of them.
The picture above is the group that went for the second week of camp from our group in Riobamba. A group of kids also went to kids camp for four days and had a wonderful time.
